As a reseller, you’ve probably heard of multi-platform listing apps such as Crosslist, PrimeLister, and List Perfectly.

They make our jobs as resellers far smoother, letting you sell on multiple platforms simultaneously with ease.

But, when the time comes to choose a cross listing app for your online business, this question always comes up: which one is the best?

To help you pick the right one for your business, we’ve stacked Crosslist, PrimeLister, and List Perfectly against each other in this article.

Let’s compare their features in detail and see which one comes out on top!

Key takeaways:

  • PrimeLister offers a few good features, but it’s severely limited. For starters, the tool doesn’t let you create a fresh listing within the app. It also uses form-filling software, which requires a lot of manual intervention from you.

  • While List Perfectly is slightly better than PrimeLister, one of its main disadvantages is that it also uses form-filling software. Moreover, LP saves the best features for the most expensive plans.

  • Crosslist is the best cross listing tool out of the three because it features a single, dynamic listing form and automatically posts your listings to the marketplaces. Even the most expensive Crosslist plan is cheaper than PrimeLister and List Perfectly.

List Perfectly vs. PrimeLister vs. Crosslist: A comparison

As multichannel listing tools, Crosslist, PrimeLister, and List Perfectly have one main function: to help you create a single listing and cross list the same to all the different platforms you sell on.

In other words, you don’t have to manually create a separate listing on each platform for each item you sell.

Imagine how much time and energy you can save with these apps!

While cross listing is the primary function of these apps, each one has a different way of carrying out the process. This is where they differ.

There are also additional features offered by each tool that make your job even easier.

Let’s compare the features of Crosslist with PrimeLister vs. List Perfectly in detail to see which one offers more bang for the buck. (Hint: It’s Crosslist. 😉)

Supported marketplaces

PrimeLister supports 8 marketplaces, while List Perfectly integrates with a total of 12 marketplaces, including Instagram.

While List Perfectly is the only cross listing software that supports Instagram, posting your listings to the social media platform is a bit different.

You need to carry out the process separately, which means you can’t bulk post to, say, Shopify and Instagram simultaneously.

If you’re on the cheapest Simple plan, Shopify and Instagram aren’t supported.

List Perfectly also lets you add custom marketplaces, such as Amazon, on its higher tiers.

But, the caveat is that you can only use them for managing inventory; you can’t list to custom marketplaces using LP.

Crosslist supports 11+ marketplaces, including Vinted, Whatnot, and WooCommerce. Our tool is also the only one that supports WooCommerce.

Verdict: Crosslist and List Perfectly > PrimeLister

Listing form

PrimeLister lets you cross list directly from one marketplace to another. It also lets you import your existing inventory to the app and cross list from there.

But, the cross listing tool is missing the most essential feature. It doesn’t let you create fresh listings from within the app.

This means PrimeLister doesn’t have a listing form at all.

Obviously, this isn’t ideal for anybody who frequently lists new products (which is all of us, am I right?).

Your only option would be to create a listing directly in one of the marketplaces you sell, import it to PrimeLister, and then cross list it to all the other marketplaces.

Does this process actually save you any time, or does it end up creating more hoops for you to jump through? We’ll let you decide.

PrimeLister’s cross listing method isn’t much better.

The tool uses form-filling software, which means it opens a new tab for each listing and populates a few of the details.

If you want to cross list 5 listings to 3 marketplaces, the tool will open 5*3 = 15 tabs.

You have to fill in the rest of the details and publish the listing yourself. Imagine repeating this for 10, 15, and 20+ listings.

If you need an easier way to picture this, think of Chrome’s auto-fill feature that automatically fills in a few of your saved details.

The rest of the information needs to be filled by you, and you have to be the one to submit the forms.

Not only is this tedious, it's also prone to error. All in all, not a great option if you want to save time.

Primelister Requires Manual Confirmation

List Perfectly lets you cross list to 10 marketplaces at once (except Instagram). But it has the same downside as that of PrimeLister: it uses form-filling software.

This means the tool will open a million tabs on your desktop, bogging your device down.

Another disadvantage is that unless you get the more expensive plans, only a few field attributes are supported by List Perfectly when you create a new listing.

For context, the cheapest plan only supports four listing attributes, namely title, description, images, and price.

This means that you'll have to check each listing manually, input the missing information (of which there will be a lot), check that everything is right, and hit “Submit.”

It takes too much time and requires a lot of manual intervention, defeating the entire purpose of a cross listing app

Crosslist has none of these issues because it uses a single, dynamic listing form, and automatically publishes your listings to the relevant platforms.

The form contains all the listing attributes required for all the 11+ marketplaces, so you’ll never have to enter any more information.

Once you fill out the form, you can hit that “Submit” button, and your job will be done. No more manual intervention required, and no more delays on your workflow.

In short, you save a lot of time with Crosslist, as it's the only multi-platform listing tool that truly automates the listing process.

Verdict: Crosslist > PrimeLister and List Perfectly

Auto posting

Neither PrimeLister nor List Perfectly have auto posting as they use basic form-filling software. This means you’ll be manually checking and filling in the missing details for each listing.

You’ll have to manually publish the listings as well.

Crosslist is the only tool out of the three that has auto posting. The best part is that our tool auto posts all of your listings in bulk.

Unlike the other two tools, Crosslist automatically publishes your listings.

It also opens only one tab per marketplace, even if you’re listing 5 different products. This prevents your device from lagging.

The bulk auto posting feature means you can simultaneously cross list as many listings as you want!

Verdict: Crosslist > PrimeLister and List Perfectly

AI generated listings

PrimeLister doesn’t let you generate your listings with AI.

List Perfectly boasts an AI-powered Listing Assistant which is basically a ChatGPT integration that lets you create an entire listing out of product photos alone.

You can either upload your product photos, or simply the barcode of the item you’re selling, and the Listing Assistant will generate a full product listing for you – including title, description, keywords, tags, and item specifics.

You can even set the tone of voice for the product description!

List Perfectly AI

The Listing Assistant is available with all of List Perfectly’s plans. But, there are restrictions as to how many listings you can generate each month.

Here’s an overview of how many listings you can create per month 👇:

  • Basic plan: 25/month

  • Business plan: 50/month

  • Pro plan: 100/month

  • Pro plus plan: Starts at 1000/month

These are not very huge numbers, which means that if you sell a large volume of items every month, you would need to write the rest of the product descriptions yourself or copy and paste from ChatGPT (or other AI tools) directly.

Crosslist’s AI-generator add-on works in a similar way. All you need to do is upload product image photos from all angles and hit that “Generate with AI” button.

And boom! The entire listing will be generated for you. This includes a title, product description, brand, item color, and even condition.

You can also set the tone and description you want for your listing description, or add your own custom prompt to further personalize the listing.

If you only want our AI to fill in a few details and leave the rest up to you, that’s possible, too!

Additionally, our AI tool comes with an in-built pricing suggestion feature.

It crawls the whole internet for you, analyzes the market trends, and gives you optimal pricing suggestions for your products.

List Perfectly also has a Google Lens pricing feature.

Verdict: Crosslist and List Perfectly > PrimeLister

Bulk actions

All three cross listing tools support bulk actions of some kind.

PrimeLister markets “unlimited” bulk actions, but the types of bulk actions you can do are limited. You can import, delist and relist, and delete your listings, but not much more.

Technically, you can also cross list in bulk, but its form-filling software defeats the “bulk action” part.

If you try to cross list in bulk, the tool will just open a million tabs, each of which you’ll have to manually edit and publish.

List Perfectly and Crosslist also let you edit and cross list in bulk. However, List Perfectly’s cheapest plan doesn’t support any bulk actions.

So, if you want to use bulk actions, you’re essentially forced to pay more.

Since LP also uses form-filling software, its bulk cross list feature isn’t a true bulk feature.

Like PrimeLister, it will simply open a million tabs and leave you to do the rest of the work.

Crosslist is the only cross listing tool out of the three that doesn’t paywall bulk features. You can carry out bulk actions no matter which subscription plan you’re on.

Unlike the other two apps, with Crosslist, you can cross list your listings in bulk quite easily.

You just have to select the listings you want to cross list, choose the marketplaces you want to post them to, and click on “Submit.”

Crosslist will automatically publish them without the need for any manual intervention from your side!

Verdict: Crosslist > List Perfectly and PrimeLister

Updating listings (and prices) without relisting

PrimeLister doesn’t let you update your live listings (including their prices) without delisting and relisting.

However, you do have the option of syncing your updated live listings so that the updates will reflect on PrimeLister’s inventory as well.

The actual updating process, though, needs to be done manually to each published listing. One by one.

List Perfectly and Crosslist both let you edit your published listings right from the tool. You can edit live listings in bulk with both the tools.

However, if you’re on List Perfectly’s Simple plan, you won’t be able to edit your published listings in bulk.

To bypass this limitation, you can create a template with the necessary edits, and simply apply it to all the listings you want to update.

If you want to change the prices of your live listings, this is the method you’ll have to use.

Crosslist lets you update live listings directly (and in bulk) through the Edit button. You can also use the template method if you wish.

Unlike LP, you can edit listings in bulk right from the cheapest Crosslist plan.

Crosslist also makes it easier for you to update your prices. Not only that, you can set different prices for different platforms.

This helps you stay competitive while taking into account the different fees, trends, and buyer behaviors of each platform.

To do this, click on a listing,  select Adjust prices per marketplace, and enter a price for each platform.

This is the method you should use to update the prices across platforms for a single listing.

To update prices in bulk, go to Account settings → Price markup and enter a number or percentage for each marketplace.

To mark up your prices, enter a positive number or percentage. To mark down your prices, the number or percentage you enter must be negative.

Verdict: Crosslist > List Perfectly > PrimeLister

Image editor and background remover

PrimeLister doesn’t have an in-built image editor or background remover.

You’ll have to rely on third-party tools to enhance your photos, which can be tedious and stretch your workflow.

List Perfectly has a basic image editor that has all the usual functions you would expect: crop, rotate, adjust brightness, saturation, and contrast, and apply filters.

Fair warning, though. You can’t do anything except crop or rotate your pictures in the basic plan.

This means you need to get your photos edited using a separate software before you upload it to List Perfectly.

List Perfectly Image Editor

You can also remove the backgrounds from all of your photos and even change them to a color of your choice. (See the picture above for reference.)

But, it’s worth noting that the number of photo backgrounds you can remove with LP is pretty limited on the lower tier plans. Here’s an overview:

  • Simple plan: 25 background removals/month

  • Business plan: 50 background removals/month

Another benefit of List Perfectly’s image editor is that it automatically resizes all your images according to the size requirements of each platform.

Crosslist has an advanced image editor, which comes with all the features available in List Perfectly plus a bit extra.

With Crosslist, you can add stickers, blur out certain parts of the photo (which will come in handy when you want to hide personal information or your face), and even annotate your images.

The best part, though, is Crosslist’s AI assisted photo editing feature.

With the help of Nano Banana, our cross listing tool enhances your product photos by fixing the lighting, colors, and shadows.

You can even add mannequins to your product photos, giving them a professional look without the expenses.

Moreover, removing the background from all of your images at once is as easy as clicking a button.

Crosslist also automatically resizes all your images (without cutting anything off) to fit the size limits of each platform. For instance, Poshmark only accepts square-shaped images.

So, when you upload a rectangular image to one of your listings on Crosslist, our multichannel e-commerce tool will add a black border and turn it into a square while maintaining the integrity of the picture. Easy peasy!

Verdict: Crosslist > List Perfectly > PrimeLister

Autodelist

All three tools have an autodelist feature, which means once you make a sale, the apps will detect it and delist the product from the remaining marketplaces.

PrimeLister autodelists your products across all of its supported marketplaces, except for Facebook Marketplace.

Mercari bundles and listings with multiple quantities are also not supported by this feature.

The app’s autodelist feature works on the cloud, so you don’t need to have your browser or computer open for it to work.

List Perfectly autodelists all of your products unless they’re multi-quantity listings. In such cases, it will detect and autodelist only when you sell the last remaining unit.

Moreover, for LP’s autodelist feature to work, your computer and the browser extension of the tool must both be open. Additionally, you should be signed in to the marketplaces.

Obviously, this isn’t feasible, since you never know when you’re going to make a sale. And it’s not possible to be “on” all the time.

To make use of LP’s autodelist feature, you need to be subscribed to the most expensive Pro plus plan, which costs upwards of $99/month.

Crosslist automatically detects sales and autodelists your items across all the 11+ supported marketplaces.

However, the feature is limited to the Gold and Diamond plans (which are much cheaper than LP’s plans).

Crosslist uses server-side tracking for 4 marketplaces, which means your sales will be detected and products delisted automatically even when your computer isn’t on.

For the rest of the marketplaces, though, your browser does need to be on occasionally.

Verdict: Crosslist > List Perfectly and PrimeLister

Mobile app

PrimeLister doesn’t have a mobile app for its cross listing tool.

List Perfectly also doesn’t have a mobile app. But, it does let you use the tool through a mobile browser, although the functionality is very limited.

The only actions you can carry out through a mobile browser are creating drafts, managing images, and using the pricing tools. Every other function is desktop-dependent.

Crosslist is the only cross listing tool out of the three that has a fully functional mobile app.

Whatever you can do on your desktop is possible through the mobile app, too.

Seriously. You can create listings on the go, upload freshly clicked images and edit them, cross list, delete, edit, and so on. You get the idea.

Any changes you make through the mobile app are automatically synced to desktop, and vice versa.

You no longer have to wait to get home and on to your desktop to sell and manage your online stores!

Verdict: Crosslist > List Perfectly > PrimeLister

Multi-country support

PrimeLister is US-only for most marketplaces, with two exceptions: Poshmark also supports Canada, and eBay supports Canada and Australia.

List Perfectly only supports US-based marketplaces. Crosslist supports US, CA, UK, and AU variants of all the marketplaces.

Based on your region, Crosslist also automatically posts the listings to the relevant domains. You don’t have to spend any time changing your settings.

Let’s say you live in Canada and are cross listing your listings to Poshmark.

Crosslist will automatically post the listings to poshmark.ca instead of poshmark.com.

Another good news is that Crosslist also automatically converts the measurements from the metric to the imperial system and vice versa when cross listing between international variants.

Pricing plans

PrimeLister only has a single subscription plan priced at $49.99/month. If you bill yearly, it comes down to $33.33/month.

There’s also a 7-day trial period for you to play around with the features.

List Perfectly has four pricing plans — a Simple plan at $29/ month, a Business plan at $49/ month, a Pro plan at $69/ month, and a Pro Plus plan at $99+/month.

While the simple and business plans do seem affordable at first glance, these plans don’t support many essential features, such as bulk actions and support for all the required attributes on the listing form.

For instance, the simple plan only lets you enter the title, images, description, and price.

This means that when you list to multiple marketplaces, you have to enter the other attributes manually every time for each listing, which is very time-consuming.

The simple plan also doesn’t let you carry out any bulk actions that would make your life easier.

You can’t bulk import or cross list unlimited items, nor can you cross list to Instagram or Shopify.

If you need any of these features (and you will, especially if you resell items in bulk), then your only choice is to choose the most expensive pro plan.

You can also get the business plan if you have no use for features like the pricing and measurement tools.

List Perfectly doesn't have any annual plans that'll get you a discount.

Crosslist, however, offers the best of both worlds. Not only is it affordable, it also doesn't gatekeep any essential features behind a more expensive subscription.

That's right. All the features are available right from the most affordable bronze plan.

Even the most expensive diamond plan is cheaper than the pro plans available in List Perfectly and PrimeLister. And you get to create unlimited listings to boot.

Want to save even further? Opt for one of Crosslist's annual plans and get 2 months free!

Want a discount without locking in your subscription for an entire year? We have quarterly plans, too, for a 10% discount.

Crosslist also has only one add-on which lets you generate AI listings. It's not an essential feature and is only meant to make your life easier.

You can get the add-on for a flat $4.99/month no matter which plan you’re on.

Crosslist is the best multi-platform listing tool for your business

It’s built for resellers of all kinds, which means it anticipates your needs at every turn and gives you solutions for every single one.

Want some social proof? Here’s what our customers have to say about Crosslist!

“I have been an online reseller now for over 6 years and have tried multiple cross-posting apps before. Since I am a high volume seller it was hard to find an app that allowed me to cross-post in bulk and to do so quickly with minimal effort on my part. With Crosslist I have FINALLY found a cross-list app that meets my needs. Crosslist is lightning fast both with importing / cross-posting and requires minimal box filing. Super quick, super efficient and their customer service is top-notch. Absolute game-changer for my small business!”

— Erica, Trustpilot

“Really happy I switched to Crosslist! AI is great and customer service has been great! Lists items incredibly fast! I have no complaints at all!”

Choose Crosslist now and thank us later. 😉 Try risk-free now.

To update prices in bulk, go to Account settings → Price markup and enter a number or percentage for each marketplace.

To mark up your prices, enter a positive number or percentage. To mark down your prices, the number or percentage you enter must be negative.

Crosslist is the best multi-platform listing tool for your business

It’s built for resellers of all kinds, which means it anticipates your needs at every turn and gives you solutions for every single one.

Bottom line: Crosslist will save you a lot of time, money, and energy by streamlining your business operations.

Choose Crosslist now and thank us later. 😉 Try risk-free now.
