Grailed also automatically deletes your listings once they cross the one-year mark. This is done to keep the listings on the platform fresh and uncluttered. In such cases, relisting on Grailed becomes a necessity.

When should you relist on Grailed?

The general rule of thumb is to relist your items on Grailed as soon as your old listings become stagnant. Typically, this takes around 40-60 days from the original date of posting the listing. 

Apart from that, you can (and probably should) do a Grailed relist if:

• You notice that the engagement on your listings have dropped steeply. This means little to no views, shares, likes, or interest of any kind over a stretch of time

• You haven't made a single sale from certain listings over a period of time

• You want to make changes to your product description, prices, tags, photos, or the items themselves. This could be because you updated your product, or simply because you thought your listings needed a polish

• You notice that your listings have aged beyond a year and have been deleted by Grailed, but you still have the item(s) in stock

• You have listed multiple variants of a product, but a few of them have had no luck in the sales department 

• You sell seasonal/ holiday items and peak season is rolling around, increasing demand

How often should you relist Grailed items?

While Grailed relisting is a great (free) strategy to give your stale listings some TLC, you should be careful not to do it too often. We recommend that you let at least 40-60 days go by after posting the listings. Give them a chance to gather some engagement and make some sales. 

Why is this wait period important? Because, if you relist too frequently, you run the risk of Grailed flagging your account for suspicious activity and restricting or suspending it. 

Moreover, neither Grailed nor your potential customers want to be bombarded with the same listings over and over again. They expect to see new products when they open the app. If their feed is cluttered with your relistings, it looks like spam and sends the signal that you don't have new stock. 

So, frequent relisting isn't good for business. Instead, you should have a relisting strategy in place where you relist old listings after 2 months while simultaneously posting new items for sale as well. 

How to relist Grailed items manually 

Follow this easy step-by-step process to relist on Grailed right from the platform.

Step 1: Login to your Grailed account and navigate to the listing you want to refresh.

Step 2: Copy all the listing details into a separate document and delete the original listing from Grailed.

Step 3: Create a new listing on Grailed and populate it with the details you copied over from the old one. If you choose to, you can also update any of the details to better represent the current selling climate.

Step 4: Post the listing.

While this process works for a single Grailed listing (or two), it's not really practical for relisting multiple items in one go. Step 1: Import your existing Grailed inventory to Crosslist

The whole Grailed relist process is going to take place inside Crosslist, so your existing inventory needs to be brought into the tool. If you’ve already been using Crosslist and have your Grailed inventory populated here, then feel free to skip ahead to step 2. 

The rest of you: Log in to your Crosslist account and go to the dashboard. Find the Import button, which is at the top left corner of the screen, and click on it.

A pop-up with all the marketplaces supported by Crosslist will appear on the screen.

Since you’re going to be importing your listings from Grailed, choose that platform from the list.

A yellow sync button will appear, indicating that Crosslist is syncing your Grailed inventory, getting it ready to be brought in. Give the Grailed relisting tool a few minutes to prepare your listings — especially if you have a large inventory.

Once complete, you’ll see a list of your Grailed listings on the screen. The next step is selecting the ones you want to import. 

You can do this in one of two ways:

1. Import your full Grailed inventory in one go, regardless of the volume of your inventory

This option is ideal for you if you have a big inventory and plan on relisting all of your existing Grailed listings — either now or in the future. This way, even if you relist only a few listings now, you won’t have to repeat this step again the next time you relist. In short, importing everything now will save you a lot of time, making the Grailed relist process even quicker in the future.

Doing this also makes it easier for you to manage your inventory within Crosslist. If you ever want to cross post your Grailed listings to other platforms, you can do so with the click of a few buttons with Crosslist. 

But, can Crosslist import a large inventory in bulk? Yes, it can! Whether you have 30 listings or 300, Crosslist is capable of importing it all in one go.

2. Import your listings in batch (with each batch supporting a maximum of 100 listings)

You should pick this option if there are certain existing Grailed listings that you’re never going to relist. Maybe you’re waiting on some inventory before you can relist certain items, or maybe you’re going to sunset certain products. In these cases, you can exclude those listings and import the rest.

Use Crosslist’s advanced search bar to search for and select the listings you want to bring in. To prevent yourself from accidentally importing the same listings twice, toggle the Only show listings not yet imported switch.

After you’ve made your selection, click the Import button to bring your Grailed inventory to Crosslist.

Step 2: Navigate to the listing overview on Crosslist

Once you import your Grailed inventory to Crosslist, you'll be able to see all of your listings at a glance on the dashboard. This is the listing overview. 

Here are the details you'll see about each listing:

• SKU number (if one is available)

• Listing title

• Preview image of the product

• Original date on which the listing was created

• Origin of the listing, i.e. whether it was first created on Crosslist or outside. If you imported your listings from Grailed using step 1, the origin will be Grailed. If you created the listings within Crosslist, that's what the origin will be

• All the marketplaces you have listed your items on

• Any labels and tags you've added to your listings to make filtering easy

Since we’re only going to relist your Grailed listings, we’re going to filter out any other listings from the dashboard.

If you just imported your Grailed inventory through step 1, use the Origin tab to only show the listings that originated from Grailed. If you were already a Crosslist user/ had your Grailed listings on Crosslist already, tweak the Listed on tab to only show the items that are currently active on Grailed.

💡 Instead of just relisting on Grailed, editing or updating your listings can give them a fresher look, make sure they reflect the current market trends, and increase your chances of success. You can update any part of the listings, such as price, title, description, tags, or photos.

a) To edit the prices of your listings in bulk, use Crosslist’s price markup feature. Go to Account settings → Price markup, and enter a number or percentage in the box beside Grailed. For example, if you enter an absolute number, like $10, the prices of all of your Grailed listings will increase by $10. If you enter a percentage, like 5%, your Grailed item prices will increase by 5%. If you want to reduce your prices, use a negative number or percentage.

Step 3: Select the listings you want to relist on Grailed

From the dashboard, select all of the listings you want to relist on Grailed. If the plan is to relist everything in one go, simply select all by checking the box at the top of the first listing.

It’s worth noting that relisting on Grailed is, technically, a two-step process. First comes the delisting, or deletion of the existing listings. The relisting process, or the re-uploading of the new listings, is actually the second step.

However, when you use a product relister for Grailed like Crosslist, the delisting process is automatically taken care of. So, you don’t have to worry about doing it separately.

Once you’ve made your selection, click on the Bulk post (x) listings button at the top right corner of the screen.

You’ll see the same pop-up with all the marketplaces supported by Crosslist. Select Grailed from the list.

Step 4: Click the “Relist” button

On the same pop-up, you’ll see a Relist button at the bottom. Click on it, and your Grailed relist is done!
